Technicoeconomic evaluation of radiation shielding for commercial electron accelerators

1986
The authors conduct a comparative engineering and cost benefit analysis for the construction and design of two different types of radiation shielding for commercial electron accelerators. One is based on concrete chambers and the other consists of individual metal shielding. In so doing they also assess two variations of the layout of electron accelerators. Cost estimates are tabulated and recommendations for the implementation for each type of shielding are made.
