The effect of flow velocity on the convection in nanochannel

2021
In our molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, we carry out research into convective heat transfer with different flow velocities when the channel size decreases to nanoscale. It is found that convection heat transfer coefficient depend strongly on the coolant velocity in various systems. We increase the cooling liquid velocity gradually. The results show that as the velocity increases from relatively low value to relatively high value, the corresponding heat transfer coefficients does not increase monotonically. This finding is different from the current theory and may help further promote the thermal management and heat dissipation of electrical and mechanical devices.
