SU-8 Nanopillars and Hierarchically Branched Nanowires Fabricated Using Anodic Aluminum Oxide Templates

2010
In the past decades, anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) has been widely used in nanoscale structure fabrication. It is well-known that well-arranged honeycomb porous structure can be formed using a two-step anodization process. The pore diameter and length can be controlled by adjusting anodization parameters, such as voltage, time, temperature and electrolyte. Meanwhile, based on the principle of traditional anodization method, Meng et al. reported a generic synthetic approach to develop hierarchically branched nanopores inside AAO templates. A branched porous structure can be formed by adjusting anodization voltage on the same sample.
