The invention provides a three-phase AC (alternating current) PMSM (permanent magnet synchronous motor) for a vehicle, belonging to the technical field of ACPMSMs. The ACPMSM is mainly used for solving the problems that the intensity of an aluminum alloy chassis is low and the water seepage exists due to the defect of an internal organizational structure in an existing ACPMSM. The ACPMSM provided by the invention is mainly characterized by comprising a spindle, an external bearing cover, an internal bearing cover, an aluminum alloy chassis, a front end cover, a bearing, a back end cover, a stator core, a stator coil and a rotor, wherein the rotor is a solid rotor and provided with a permanent magnet slot and an empty slot symmetrically in accordance with the number of motor poles; a permanent magnet is externally provided with a slot wedge made of a nonmagnetic material; baffles made of nonmagnetic materials are arranged at two ends of the rotor; the spacer bush of a rotor magnetic pole is arranged between the rotor and the spindle; and a cooling channel is formed by a coil pipe in the aluminum alloy chassis wall. The ACPMSM provided by the invention can strength the intensity of the cast aluminum chassis and avoid the water seepage due to the structural defect of the cast aluminum chassis, and is mainly applied to a water-cooled PMSM for an electric vehicle.
