The invention provides an LED illuminance adjustment method, and relates to the field of LED illumination. The LED illuminance adjustment method includes the steps that firstly, LEDs are uniformly distributed and arranged, the number of LEDs is set as N, and the needed illuminance radio in a unit area S is set as P; secondly, according to the needed illuminance radio P, the number N*P of the LEDs which are uniformly distributed is selected, and the N*P LEDs serve as a group; thirdly, according to N*P LED groups, the distribution and arrangement density of the LEDs in the unit area S is determined. The LEDs are divided into groups to be controlled, and the LED groups are uniformly distributed in space, so working time of a single LED can be reduced, and the service life of an element and device can be prolonged; the grouping method is a density grouping method, grouping of LED arrays is completed through selection of the number of the LEDs in the unit area via the method, thus constancy of overall illuminance is guaranteed because the numbers of the LEDs in the groups are the same, and because of uniform distribution of the LEDs, uniformity of overall illuminance is guaranteed .
