Clinical Observation on Xuefu Zhuyu Capsule in combination with Sodium Hyaluronate in the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:To observe the effect of Xuefu Zhuyu Capsule (XZC) in combination with sodium hyaluronate (SH) in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Methods:One hundred and thirty-six patients were randomly divided into treatment group (72 cases) and control group (64 cases). Patients in treatment group were treated with XZC plus intraarticlular injection of SH,while the patients in control group were treated only with intraarticlular injection of SH. Results:After treatment,the knee pain-free rate,good functional rate,and effective rate were 79.2%,97.2%,and 97.2% respectively,while those in control group were 40.6%,71.2%,and 84.3 % respectively. There were significant differences of the above rates between the two groups (P0.05). Conclusion:XZC combining with SH is effective for KOA.
