Study on fermentation for hydrogen production with rural biomass and manure

In order to study hydrogen production potential of different organic wastes,we use pig dung,cow dung,chicken dung,horse dung,and rice straw,corn straw,barely straw,wheat straw and bean straw which are the main organic wastes in rural area as the materials.Under anaerobic conditions,at the temperature of 25 ℃,controlling pH value at 4.5~5.5 with lactic acid,the experiments of batch fermentation were carried out with anaerobic digested sludge as inoculums of hydrogen-producing bacteria.The experiments indicate that the method of using the dung and straws to produce hydrogen are feasible.
