HIGH RESOLUTION ABUNDANCE ANALYSIS OF A HIGH PROPER MOTION RADIAL VELOCITY STANDARD STAR: HD102870

2014
Radial velocity standards are the stars that are commonly used in investigations regarding radial velocity measurements, hence it is very important to understand their nature. We are investigating whether the high proper motion nature of some radial velocity standard stars has an effect on chemical structures of their photospheres. In this study, as a part of an on-going M.Sc. research project, we present preliminary results on detailed abundances analysis of one F-type radial velocity standard star, HD 102870, that is also known as a high proper motion star in the literature.
