Aspects du modelé périglaciaire supra-forestier des Pyrénées Orientales

1973
Some correlation between glacial and periglacial formations has been made in the Eastern (Mediterranean) Pyrenees above forest level. Field study has brought to light examples of correlation whereby it has been possible to date the chief episodes of periglacial morphogenesis. But a full appreciation of periglacial dynamics in action is essential to analysis, and also for an understanding of flood torrent erosion at high altitudes. In addition, the region is one of climatic nuances, thus each set of landforms has been subject to considerable variations in time and space which have affected their development since the Wurm glaciation.
