New approach to array processor-computer system interfacing

Existing types of communications with array processors are discussed. Basic sources for achieving more parallelism are defined by analyzing the activities of system elements in typical digital signal processing algorithms. The identified possibilities for overall performance upgrading have been applied in an interface between a microcomputer system and an array processor. 4 references.
