Decline in the photosynthetic capability of wheat plants after fumigation with SO2 in open-top chambers. Treating the wheat with 150 ppb and higher of SO2 lead to the reduction in the photosynthetic capability of the wheat. The inability of the electron transport system to transfer electrons was most seriously affected.
