Development of a Performance Testing System for Liquid Flow Meters

In this paper,a performance testing system for liquid flow meters was developed to test the performance of flow meters automatically.Static mass method was used in this system to verify four common flow meters,such as vortex flowmeter,turbine flowmeter,electromagnetic flowmeter and orifice plate flowmeter.The measurement on the total amount of the flow meter and the performance of flow measurement by current signal was made.After elaborating on the principle of the performance testing of the flow meter,basic functions of the system were confirmed and structural platform of test system was designed.The test software was developed with object-oriented method on the.NET development environment,which was applied to the platform and with such functions as data acquisition,calculation,analysis,display,print,and history data query.The operation result shows that the system is highly stable,reliable and automatic,which meets the design requirements.
