Development of an Intelligentized and Microcomputized Transformer Protection Device

This paper expounded the fundamental principle, software algorithm and hardware configuration of a new transsformer protection device constituted by microcomputer system which consists high powered single chip 80C 196 and programmable universal peripherally chip PSD 311 and otherwise. The device accomplished more functions including broken down current differential relay, general differential relay, reserve relay and so on. And it comprehensively realized ‘four remote’ in the power system and other twice functions that is needed for the power net dispatching and supervising automatization. The formal prototype has passed the strict test on dynamic simulation and takes the lead in operating at main transformer of electrical power station.
