The invention discloses an interactive mode image partitioning method based on a geodesic distance, which comprises the following steps of: firstly, extracting image prior information in a user interactive mode; secondly, constructing a foreground information and background information probability model by using the image prior information and calculating the foreground probability of each pixel by using the probability model; and thirdly, respectively calculating the geodesic distances that each pixel reaches a foreground pixel and a background pixel by using a foreground probability varying gradient and finally finishing the partition of the whole image by comparing the two distances. The method has less user operation of image partition, a user just needs to approximately mark the foreground part and the background part on the image by a lineation, the limitation in use to the user is less, and a use mode is simple. By estimating the probability model after clustering, the precision of the model is improved, an accurate probability value is obtained, and a satisfactory partitioning result is formed.
