The Protein Expression of PDGF-β and TNF-α in the Pathogenesis of Mesangial Proliferative Glomerulonephritis

2004
Objective:To study the protein expression of the PDGF-β and TNF-α in the pathogenesis of the human mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis. Methods:Histopathological analysis (HE, PAS, PASM), electromicroscope and immunohistochemistry were used to evaluate the change and expression of PDGF-β and TNF-α in the tissues of kidney. Results:The protein expression of PDGF-β and TNF-α in glumeruli and renal tubles were much higher than control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Increased expression of PDGF-β and TNF-α protein may play an important role in the proliferation of glumeruli mesangial cells and renal interstitial fibrosis in mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis.
