Intrinsic and rotational levels in 167Lu

Abstract The γ-rays emitted when targets of 169Tm are bombarded by 3 He and α-particles, and 171 Yb targets by protons, have been studied with Ge(Li) detectors and interpreted within the level scheme of 167 Lu. The rotational bands built on the 1 2 − (541), 7 2 + (404), 9 2 − (514) and tentatively 5 2 + (402) states are identified up to high spin values.
