The Perioperative Treatment of 62 Cases of Hip Fractures in Elderly Patients

Objective To investigate the therapeutic experience during the perioperative management of hip fracture in the elderly.Methods 62 elderly hip fracture patients who received surgical treatment between Oct 1998 and Aug 2006 in our hospital were reviewed.Results The operations of 62 cases were all done successfully,and after operatinon,1 case died during treatment in hospital,and the incision of 1 case was infected,and 56 cases showed a good functional recovery during the follow-up.Conclusion The operative treatment of the elderly hip fracture patients is one of effective ways,and the perioperative management is the key for patients to recover.
