Excellent leakage current performance and energy storage density achieved in Zr-modified Sr0.925Bi0.05TiO3 thin film

Abstract In this paper, the leakage current performance and energy storage of Sr0.925Bi0.05Ti1−xZrxO3 (x = 0, 0.05, 0.07 and 0.1) thin films with perovskite structure were investigated. With the increases of x, the leakage current performance and breakdown strength were optimized remarkably, resulting the recoverable energy density of 26.9 J/cm3 at x = 0.1, which is almost double that of Sr0.925Bi0.05TiO3 thin film. The high breakdown strength, low dielectric loss and high recoverable energy density make the thin films a potential candidate for application in energy storage devices.
