The Formation of Triple Exciplex in the System of 1,3 - Dicarbaxzolypropane and 1,4 - Dinitrilebenzene

The photophysical behaviors of the formation of intramolecular excimer. Intermolecular excimer and triple exciplex have been studied in the system of 1,3-dicarbazolypropane(1,3-DCZP) and electron - deficient compound,1,4-dinitrilebenzene(1,4-DNB) with steadystate fluorescence spectroscopic techniques. The experimental results show that with an addition of 1,4-DNB into the lower concentration solution of 1,3-DCZP in benzene,the fluorescence of intramolecular excimer of 1,3-DCZP was quenched while the [(DD)A] * type triple exciplex(one molecule of 1,3-DCZP with one molecule of 1,4-DNB) was formed and with an addition of 1,4-DNB into the higher concentration solution of 1,3-DCZP,the formation of [DDA] * type triple exciplex(two molecule of 1,3-DCZP with one molecule of 1,4-DNB) was also confirmed.
