The Analysis of Tourism Value Chain Activities on Competitive Creation: Tourists Perspective

The purpose of this study is to analyse tourism value chain activities (TVCA) in creating competitive advantage. TVCA based on three stages of pre-trip experience, trip experience, and post-trip experience. This study used 380 valid datasets, were collected from international tourists visit Indonesia using self-administered paper-based questionnaire, and PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling) was employed. The finding of this research comprehends that TVCA affirmed on competitive advantage creation. Further, this study emphasis the necessary to analyse TVCA in providing distinct tourist experience to create a competitive advantage. It also found that tourist experience is valuable to support of tourism players in managing destinations as a valuable asset.
