Briquette roller and method for producing same

[Problem] To provide a novel briquette roller that is inexpensive, exhibits excellent performance in terms of being provided with both wear resistance and spalling resistance, and makes production in a short amount of time possible, and a method for producing the same. [Solution] A briquette roller (1) that integrally comprises an inner-layer material (4) and an outer-layer material (5) that contact one another to the inside/outside and comprise different materials, and has pockets (6) formed in the outer circumference of the outer-layer material (5). The inner-layer material (4) is a chrome-molybdenum forged steel, and the outer-layer material (5) is a high-carbon-based high speed steel. The outer-layer material (5) may be formed on the outside of the inner-layer material (4) by using the continuous pouring for cladding method.
