Studies on male sterility of Brassica crops in terms of developmental biology

Concerning the terms of developmental biology of male sterility, the present review described the major achievements in the study of developmental mechanism of Brassica crop male sterility involved in developmental stage regulation and environmental regulation. The authors evaluated the molecular biological mechanism in DNA level, transcriptional level and signal transduction model, as well as their applications in molecular breeding.
