Influencia de la solubilidad del soluto gaseoso en la absorciÓn mediante lavadores jet-venturi

Systems for gas contaminants removal based on venturi effect (venturi scrubbers) have traditionally been used for the removal of particles from gas effluents. Its application to the reduction of chemical contaminants emission has received less attention. In this work, it is stu- , died the absorption of two gas contaminants, usually found in a great number of industrial plants (ammonia and hydrogen sulphide) using a washer jet-venturi system. With a statistical technique (experiments design accompanied by response surface patterns), the effect of different operative and geometrical variables in the absorption process is studied. The obtained yields were very high for ammonia (75-95%), while for hydrogen sulphide were slightly lower (55-90%). It has been established that jet-venturi system is appropriate for gas solutes which have high solubility in the absorbent solution.
