Numerical Simulation on Combustion Process of BFG Regenerative Burner

Through analyzing the fuel composition of blast furnace gas and the chemical reaction mechanisms of CO and H_2, two different chemical reaction mechanisms used for the blast furnace gas regenerative combustion are selected, and the combustion process of experimental burner is simulated with the FLUENT software. Based on the experimental results, the comparison of two chemical reaction mechanisms is completed, and the results indicate that water-vapor reaction mechanism is more suitable for the blast furnace gas regenerative combustion than global reaction mechanism proposed by Lavrov.
