Experiment and Research for Load Bearing Capacity of Steel Thin-wall Short Cylinder under Internal Pressure

Research has been made through experiment for load bearing capacity of steel thin-wall short cylinder under internal pressure;experience equation has been established for yielding and blasting strength of thin-wall short cylinder;from that the calculating formula has been obtained,by which the critical length for the long/short cylinders can be distinguished;author has analyzed the influence on both reinforcing intensity and reinforcing scale about the 16MnR steel-made,thin-wall short cylinder yielding/blasting strength of the head structure.Result indicates that the standard elliptical head has a wider reinforcing scale for blasting strength of the short cylinder than that for yield strength;the dished head has basically no influence difference on both yield strength and blasting strength of thin-wall short cylinder;standard elliptical head has a more reinforcing function on the yielding and blasting strength of thin-wall short cylinder made of 16MnR steel under internal pressure than adopting the dished head,its reinforcing scale is also larger than that of dished head.
