Atlas of Colpocytology.

This is an excellent introductory atlas of the cytology of vaginal smears, from Grenoble, France. It has a bilingual text, but the preface is only in French, and it is necessary to read this to understand that the book is intended for beginners in cytology. All photomicrographs are in black and white. There are some accompanying schematic drawings which are most informative and useful. If possible the text should be read in French, since the English translation is weak and evidently was done by someone not fluent in the language. Thus in America the book might be most suitable for use in eastern Canada. Though not a major work, this atlas should prove a helpful reference and teaching aid.
