Semiautomated measurements of hemoglobin and total protein in urine using a molecular sieve module

1966
Abstract Methods are described for the quantitative analyses of hemoglobin and total protein when interfering small molecules are present in the sample. The techniques involve the separation of components on a molecular sieve module with subsequent appropriate automated analysis. The general method for molecular separation and autoanalysis provides reliable data with adequate precision and should be applicable to other analytical procedures that require the prior removal of interfering species or the simultaneous analysis of similarly reacting compounds when these species are sufficiently different in size.
