Structural studies of the capsular polysaccharide from Klebsiella type 7

1995
Abstract The structure of the capsular polysaccharide elaborated by Klebsiella type 7 has been investigated. NMR spectroscopy together with sugar and methylation analysis have been the main methods used. A uronic acid degradation was also employed. The polysaccharide consists of hexasaccharide repeating units having the following structure.
