The invention provides a fault simulation apparatus for an electrical control system of transformer equipment. The fault simulation apparatus is suitable for a training system for realizing fault simulation by using a circuit breaker or a disconnecting switch. The fault simulation apparatus comprises a touch control unit, a PLC control unit, and a relay group. The touch control unit is provided with a monitoring interface for displaying and controlling a fault simulation circuit and includes a plurality of virtual buttons; and each virtual button corresponds to an instruction. The PLC control unit receives an instruction sent by the touch control unit. The relay group is connected with the output terminal of the PLC control unit; and leads of a secondary control loop of the circuit breaker or the disconnecting switch are connected with a plurality of normally-closed contacts of the relay group correspondingly. The PLC control unit is used for controlling turning on/off of the normally-closed contacts and recording on/off states of the normally-closed contacts. The provided fault simulation apparatus has the following advantages: repeated dismounting of electrical elements is avoided; the fault concealing performance is good; no new fault is caused during fault elimination; the damage of the wiring process of the system is prevented; and fault point setting is not limited by mounting positions of electrical elements.
