A method for separating electrically charged particles with regard to their energy, and energy filter

Described and illustrated is a method of separating along a web (2) moving electrically charged particles with respect to their kinetic energy. The invention has the object of proposing a process for energy separation which has over the prior art improved characteristics. The object is achieved by a method which in particular is characterized in that along the track (2) an energy barrier (3) is created by extending electric field is generated by an electric potential difference, a parallel to the web (2).
