Instrumento de evaluación de la práctica docente en medicina. Propuesta y validación
2008
OBJECTIVE: TO ELABORATE AND VALIDATE AN INSTRUMENT TO EVALUATE THE EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE IN RELATION TO THE LEARNING OF THE STUDENTS IN A MEDICINE SCHOOL. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A QUESTIONNAIRE TYPE LIKERT WITH 5 OPTIONS OF ANSWERS WAS DESIGNED. IN ORDER TO WRITE IN AN EXPERIMENTAL WAY THE INSTRUMENT HERE EMPLOYED, THE CONSTRUCTIVIST MODEL IN EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE WAS USED. EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE OPERATIONALLY WAS DEFINED AS THE HIGHER OR LOWER STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN THE KNOWLEDGE CONSTRUCTION AT WHICH IS REPRESENTED BY THE HABITUAL WAY THE STUDENTS PERFORM THEIR DAILY ACTIVITIES DURING THE CLASS HOURS OR HOMEWORK FULFILLMENT. THE PILOT STUDY TO VERIFY THE INTERNAL CONSISTENCY WAS PERFORMED IN AN INDIVIDUAL AND NAMELESS WAY WITH 115 STUDENTS OF A MEDICINE SCHOOL THAT COURSE FROM 2ND TO 8TH SEMESTERS. THE INTERNAL CONSISTENCY OF THE INSTRUMENT WAS ESTIMATED BY ALPHA CRONBACH. RESULTS: THE FIRST EDITION OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE CONTAINED 48 ITEMS, AND ONCE THE VALIDATION WAS DONE, 23 ITEMS WERE ELIMINATED, ACCORDING TO EXPERTS THESE DID NOT SHOW VALIDITY. THE INTERNAL CONSISTENCY ANALYSIS OF THE INSTRUMENT ABOUT THE ALPHA CRONBACH COEFFICIENT WAS 0.91 AND PEARSON CORRELATION COEFFICIENT IN THE TEST AND RETEST 0.60. CONCLUSIONS: THESE RESULTS ALLOW TO CONFIRM THAT THIS INSTRUMENT IS VALID AND RELIABLE TO IDENTIFY EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE, OF THE PROFESSORS IN MEDICINE CAREER.
