PERANCANGAN DAN ANALISIS KINERJA ALAT DESALINASI AIR LIMBAH PRODUKSI MIGAS PERTAMINA EP ASSET 2 PRABUMULIH DENGAN METODE DESTILASI MENGGUNAKAN TEKNOLOGI MULTI STAGE FLASH (MSF)

2021
Produced water is a byproduct resulting from oil and gas exploitation activities. Water is produced into the category of liquid waste because it adversely affects the environment if not processed first. Because the nature of the produced water is salt water, the desalination process with Multi Stage Flash (MSF) technology can be applied to process the produced water. A prototype desalination tool with MSF technology will be designed to build and analyze its performance. The aim is to process some of the produced water into fresh water so that it can be used for operational activities and communities around the field, or can be disposed of without disturbing the environment. The flow of desalination equipment bait MSF model to process this produced water with the difference in height in each chamber (gravity), the difference in distance of each chamber with heater element and one of the chamber created vacuum atmosphere, to see how much influence on the decrease in salinity levels, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and pH and the number of products produced. The number of rooms designed as many as 3 units. The maximum water temperature when heated in the brine heater is 120°C, then enters the chamber and flashes so that the water temperature decreases to 38.8°C when the water enters the last chamber. The data taken are current, chamber temperature, and fresh water production. The current used in the experiment is divided into currents of 4 amphere, 5 amphere, and 6 amphere. The chamber temperature sought is the temperature at the initial heating, the temperature at the time of production, and the temperature in the chamber. Fresh Water production is carried out for 1 Hour from the Third Chamber which is divided into 2 time limits, namely volume at minutes 0-30 and volume at minutes 30-60.
