ON EFFECT OF ADDED TITANIUM POLYPHOSPHATES AND MAGNETIC FERRIC OXIDES ON THE PERFORMANACE OF ORGANIC COATINGS

Investigation has been made of the effect of added titanium polyphosphates and magnetic ferric oxides on the performance of organic coatings by the electrochemical methods. It is shown that the titanitim polYPhosphate which is an active pigreent can considerably enhance the protectjve perfofinance of the epoxy coatings,and the magnetic ferric oxides is also a good anti-rust pigreent. But in terms of anti-rust ability the latter is inferior to the former.The anti-rust mechanisms of both pigreents within the organic coatings are proposed in this paper.
