The present invention discloses a vanadium-titanium compacted graphite cast iron brake disk and a manufacturing method thereof. The components of the vanadium-titanium compacted graphite cast iron brake disk comprise, by weight, 3.8-4.2% of carbon, 1.8-2.2% of silicon, 0.4-0.6% of manganese, 0.15-0.34% of vanadium, 0.05-0.08% of titanium, 0.1-0.3% of chromium, 0.03-0.06% of sulfur, 0.05-0.09% of phosphorus, 0.02-0.03% of residual magnesium, and the balance of iron. According to the present invention, the vanadium-containing pig iron is adopted as the raw material without the addition of other noble metal elements, and the vanadium-titanium compacted graphite cast iron brake disk has characteristics of excellent mechanical property, good wear resistance, good thermal fatigue resistance, low production cost and the like; the vanadium-containing pig iron is adopted as the raw material without the addition of other noble metal elements, such that the production cost is reduced, and the performance achieves the requirement of RuT420; and the vanadium-titanium compacted graphite cast iron brake disk has characteristics of good mechanical property, good wear resistance, good damping property and good thermal conductivity, the compacted graphite cast iron has the stable performance caused by the low wall thickness sensitivity so as to substantially increase the service life of the brake disk, and the low-cost vanadium-containing pig iron is adopted as the raw material so as to reduce the production cost, such that the vanadium-titanium compacted graphite cast iron brake disk has the broad market application prospect.
