Fatty acid calcium soaps in animal feeding. In vitro behaviour and technological/practical considerations

1993
Calcium soaps have been recently introduced in animal feeding to improve the energetic value of the diet. In this research the hydrolysis of different mixtures of soaps has been studied :in vitro- and quantitatively determined ; its correlations with composition and melting point of the corresponding free fatty acids mixtures have been evaluated. Calcium soaps behaviour to oxidation and moisture adsorption during stockage have been considered too
