The invention discloses a page element processing method and a page element processing apparatus. The method comprises following steps: monitoring erasing motions when page element processing commands are received; acquiring erasing information when the erasing motions are monitored, wherein the erasing information comprises page element identification information of page elements of erasing positions and page identification information of pages including the page elements; generating first filtering rules used for filtering the page elements according to preset grammar rules and the erasing information; and hiding the page elements according to the first filtering rules. According to the scheme mentioned in the embodiment of the invention, the page elements can be filtered based on the erasing motions under a condition that original filtering regulations do not include the filtering rules aiming at the page elements, so that filtering effects of the page elements on the pages returned by sites can be improved, and the page elements can be perfectly filtered.
