Influence du groupe tertiobutyle sur la géométrie des noyaux cyclohexanique et cyclohexanonique

Abstract The crystal structures of three 4-t-butyl cyclohexanones show that introduction of a t-butyl group to a cyclohexanone ring gives rise to the following deformations, the cyclohexane structure being taken as reference: stretching of the C 4C 7 , bond; contraction of the C 3 C 4 C 5 angle; flattening of the C 4 C 7 C 3 C 5 pyramid. The small deformations observed are typical of the t-butyl group since they are found in nine other cyclohexanic compounds, the structures of which have been obtained from X-ray or neutron diffraction studies.
