Pseudosymmetry and some characteristics of pyroelectric properties of crystals

The relation between pseudosymmetry characteristics of the atomic structure and the values of the pyroelectric coefficients of model and real pyroelectric crystals has been studied. It is established that the electron-density projection onto the polar axis of crystals with the highest values of pyroelectric coefficients possesses the property of pseudosymmetry, i.e., that the considerable part of the electron density is invariant with respect to an additional center of symmetry.
