PURPOSE: Methano-anthracene derivatives I (A is lower alkylene or C 3 W 4 alkenyl; R 1-2 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkylene, etc., or R 1 and R 2 together form alkylene, or alkylene having O or S), or their acid addition salts, e.g. 9-ϒ-methylaminopropyl-9,10-dihydro-9,10-methano-anthracene.
