Garrapatas duras de los géneros Amblyomma Koch y Rhipicephalus Koch (Acari: Ixodidae) presentes en la Colección de Zoología Agrícola, Decanato de Agronomía, Universidad Centro Occidental Lisandro Alvarado, Venezuela

A list of ticks species belonging to genera Amblyomma Koch and Rhipicephalus Koch in the Collection of Zoologia Agricola, Decanato de Agronomia, Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA). Revised specimens consisted in samples containing hard ticks labelled with the following information: species name, locality, collecting date, host (if available). Information was included in a data base in which a code number was assigned as follows: CZA (Agricultural Zoology Collection)- Ixo (Ixodidae) plus a four digit number. Species were determined by using taxonomical keys. A total of 115 observed samples, 15 species belonged to genus Amblyomma and 3 species to Rhipicephalus from several localities and/or host. More detailed revisions are required to determine total number of hard tick species in the collection.
