One-step fabrication of few-layer g-C3N4 by pressure quenching and investigation of its exfoliating effect

Abstract Nowadays, two-dimensional (2D) materials have attracted great attention because of their unique properties and structures. Among the many 2D materials, few-layer g-C3N4 has great research value because its uses are applicable to semiconductors, photocatalysis, and energy storage. In the present work, we report a novel synthesis method for the fabrication of few-layer g-C3N4 directly from melamine by pressure quenching. Under optimal conditions, few layer g-C3N4 was successfully synthesized. Few-layer graphene can also be obtained by the pressure quenching method. Our work has provided a novel, simple and efficient method for the fabrication of 2D materials by pressure quenching.
