Transosseous osteosynthesis using rod apparatus in treating patients with severe injuries of the extremities

: The article summarizes 87 cases of external fixation in patients with gunshot fractures, open or closed. This method is fast and easy in application. It is indicated for treatment of concomitant and multiple injuries. The method has best results when applied just in the first days in patients with severe concomitant traumas.
