PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymorphic form of montelukast sodium. SOLUTION: The new polymorphic form of montelukast sodium and a method for using the same, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the new polymorphic form of montelukast sodium are provided.
