Conclusion and Discussion

In this concluding chapter, the major findings of the thesis are briefly summarized. The implications for China with respect to regulating the potential environmental effects of the development of the shale gas industry are then discussed. Finally, the limitations of the study are outlined along with potential topics for future research.
