Scanning electron microscopy of the haustorium-host interface regions in wheat infected with Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici

Abstract Cryofracturing and scanning electron microscopy demonstrated the invagination of host cytoplasm and plasma membrane around haustoria of Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici , confirming observations from transmission electron microscopy and light microscopy of other rust infections.
