The invention discloses an automatic perfusion water dispenser and a method for controlling automatic perfusion, and provides a water dispenser which is convenient to use and capable of being suitable for various water cups with indefinite volumes and the method for controlling automatic perfusion. An automatic perfusion control component of the water dispenser comprises a hot-water end electromagnetic valve which is connected with a hot-water outlet of a hot-water preparation device, a cold-water end electromagnetic valve which is arranged on a cold-water pipe in an engine base, a stepper motor, a lead screw, a slide block, an ultrasonic sensor which is used for detecting the height of a water cup, a fiber optic sensor for detecting a water level and an automatic perfusion controller, wherein after being connected in parallel, the water outlet end of the hot-water end electromagnetic valve and the water outlet end of the cold-water end electromagnetic valve are connected with a water outlet connection pipe; an output shaft of the stepper motor is provided with the lead screw; the lead screw is connected with the slide block through screw threads; the slide block is provided with the fiber optic sensor; the ultrasonic sensor is arranged in a water cup placement groove at the front end of the engine base; and the automatic perfusion controller is connected with the ultrasonic sensor, the fiber optic sensor, the stepper motor, the cold-water end electromagnetic valve and the hot-water end electromagnetic valve respectively.
