Correlation of Doppler echocardiography and EEG findings in stenotic processes in the carotid arteries
1989
: Results obtained from EEG examination and Doppler sonography in a group of 155 patients were studied and special attention was paid to ischemic cerebral lesions in stenotic processes in carotid arteries. Pair correlations of individual factors were statistically analyzed using a computer, i. e., results obtained from EEG, Doppler sonography, patients' age and final diagnosis. High statistical mutual dependence of both the methods was found which may be explained by the functional approach pursued in both the procedures. The contribution of both the methods to rapid and considerate diagnosis of vascular cerebral lesions is emphasized here.
