The invention relates to a suction vacuum keeping device of a magnetic suspension tunnel, and a method of the device. The device comprises the magnetic suspension tunnel and magnetic suspension carriages, and is characterized in that smooth protruding faces are arranged on train heads of the magnetic suspension carriages; smooth concave faces capable of being embedded into the train heads of the other magnetic suspension carriages are arranged on train tails; the vacuum magnetic suspension tunnel and the magnetic suspension carriages are designed to become a dynamic sealing structural relation similar to the relation of an air cylinder and a piston of a piston type vacuum pump; a plurality of sealing grooves similar to piston grooves are arranged at inlets and outlets of the magnetic suspension tunnel and are embedded into tubular sealing rings. Obviously, the effective vacuum degree in the vacuum tunnel can be kept, and sealing gates and decompression bins at inlets and outlets of an existing vacuum magnetic suspension tunnel can be hopefully removed. Only under the wear restriction of the sealing rings, the magnetic suspension carriages can be next to the tunnel to continue to go in and go out of the magnetic suspension tunnel at the limited speed of exceeding 13 kilometers per hour, and the traffic flow going in and going out of the magnetic suspension tunnel can be obviously improved.
