Radiusgeregeltes Abschrecken von Ringen in einer Härtepresse. Diskussion

1996
This paper describes the integration of radius-sensors in an experimental quenching press for bearing rings. The measuring system records the average inner diameter of the rings during the whole quenching process and compares it with control points at well defined conditions. The resulting differences between measured radius and desired value will be corrected by an radius-controlled straightening operation. The calculation of the straightening radius takes the elastical response of the ring into account. By this concept deviations of the inner diameter up to about 1 mm could be reduced to ± 0,03 mm after quenching.
