La pandemia de COVID-19 motiva una revision de dicho compromiso y de su posibilidad de exito. EnglishThe use of the term development in the current sense can be traced back to the beginning of the Cold War. From then on, different models for development were proposed and tested in different degrees. The year 2000 inspired a profound revision of the development situation of peoples that culminated in the adoption of the Millennium Development Goals and, finally, in the Sustainable Development Goals. The COVID-19 pandemic urges a revision of that commitment and its chances of success.
